timeout timeInterval: Duration before cached data expires.
granularity timeInterval: Time interval unit for cache operations.

What the travel cache holds

With a travel calculator configured, the cache keeps the engine’s answers for the drives Spiral has asked about, each against the origin and destination it was asked for, and Spiral’s own estimates beside them. Its statistics are reported once a second in perf.travelCache. Spiral asks the engine for its open drives in batches: in a world with a thousand open drives it was observed to send about a hundred requests per optimisation pass.
